TCL won 28 international design awards as the 2022 design results from Design Innovation Center, DIC, the newly integrated corporate design center of TCL Technology Group since its 3 years of accumulated design capabilities:
- 13 iF Design Awards.
- 10 Red Dot Design Awards.
- 3 Good Design Awards.
- 2 IDEA Featured Finalist Awards.
A few interesting numbers working behind:
- 1 Design Language controls all design elements.
- 1 Aesthetics Methodology tunes the tone of all sense of visual design elements.
- 4 core members from the DIC design strategy department and I check, translate and edit all documentation & entry submission quality.
- 5 different design function departments horizontally work together & leverage different capabilities to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- 5 award categories include ID Production, UX Design, Product Concept, Visual Communication Design, and Sound Design.
- 13 categories of products including Smartphone, Smart TV, B2B Business All-in-One Display, Refrigerator, Air Purifier, AI Camera, VR, AR Glass, CPE, Soundbar, Air Conditioner, Care UI, Sound Design.
- 89 design entries to win finally 28 confirmed awards.
- Almost 200 designers do their daily NPI work and selected the most potential items to submit for application simultaneously.
- Countless revisions & refinements of rendering & story editing are based on my high demand and it’s also the duty of my role — General Manager of Design Innovation Center to secure all those design quality & delivery.
