DIC UX Design Director
TCL Design Innovation Center is hiring a User Experience Design Director
Job Title: User Experience Design director.
Department: User Experience Design Department under TCL Design Innovation Center.
Work Location: Shenzhen (深圳), China.
Position Background:
- Design Innovation Center, DIC. It’s an official design center under TCL Technology Group with around 200 designers. DIC handles all design and innovation topics within TCL multi-category products: smartphones (4G/5G), Foldable smartphones, Smart Tablet, CPE Product, Smart Watch, TV, Acoustic Product, Refrigerator, Air Conditioner, Air Purifier, Wash Machine, Kitchen Product, Health Smart Product, IoT Smart Products.
- User Experience Design department, UX. It’s an elite team to represent DIC to control the whole TCL group user experience design works including user interface (UI) and graphic user interface (GUI) design.
- The UX Design department is handling TCL's whole category products UX design including SmartTV OS, Smartphone OS, TCL IoT Apps for China and Oversea versions, White Goods IoT UX, VR/AR UX, and Service Design.
Job Description:
- Based on TCL DIC’s overall design language & strategy to handle a unified UX design for whole product categories, such as a smartphone system UI, SmartTV UI, important App UI, or IoT UI.
- Hands-on UX Design Capability: Be the main creator with hands-on skill & capability to lead the user interface and graphic user experience design teams, this is a UX design professional-driven position.
- UX Professional Leadership: Regularly co-work with the product manager and software R&D center to work out the UX projects, and lead internal UX weekly reviews with strong personal leadership.
- UX Design Quality Control: Be the main contact person to represent DIC to present the yearly TCL UX Design Projects, and control the quality of key UX design works in terms of UI design, animation demo, UX design story, GUI design direction & quality control.
Skills & Experience Requirement:
- Hands-on sketch & documentation to show ideation & concept in a quick & quality way.
- 10+ years of Android system UI or individual APP UI / GUI design experience for smartphones, smart TV, IoT products, and wearable products.
- Excellent aesthetic sense & open-minded communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in user experience design-related software skills.
