In 2023, TCL made a huge improvement in IDEA design awards compared to previous years. TCL won 2 featured finalists in 2021 and 2 featured finalists in 2022. Moreover, TCL won 9 featured finalists and 1 Silver Award in 2023.
My role and work cover the product design of brand reputation for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) design-related works, design Ops for the diversity design team strategies, design language tonality & design element alignment. The most important is to put my high-standard design criterion and guide designers’ design direction with good storytelling by showing nice design visualizations.
TCL Care TV UX Design
The TV UX is designed for disabled users, so everyone can enjoy useful smart TV content and services, whether you are a normal person or a disabled person.
The International Paralympic Committee and the International Disability Alliance estimate that 15% of the world’s population suffers from some form of disability. The pandemic has reduced our outdoor time, which has become a luxury for those who face challenges in everyday mobility. As a user-centered company, we want to make life easy for all, starting from watching TV. As the industry’s first TV care solution, TCL Care covers everyone, including the disadvantaged, to offer a more friendly TV experience. We democratize the TV experience for all people so that everyone can conveniently experience a rich and colorful life even within their homes.

IDEA — one of the world’s most prestigious design awards programs — is held by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA). Founded in 1980, IDEA acknowledges achievements in industrial design. This year, IDEA has selected winners in 20 categories, including Home, Consumer Technology and Digital Interaction.
