The Chinese students had nowhere to express their youthful vitality because they were blocked down by the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown policy, so they started their introverted lives on their campuses.

In the beginning, someone made a recyclable express cardboard box dog that would not bark, not defecate, and not need to be fed. Slowly growing as a social network trend in the Z generation, the trend of making a unique paper dog gradually became popular, and students want to make their paper dogs get more attention.

Later, after more and more art and design students joined, the paper dogs became more and more beautiful & cute. After the electrical engineering students joined, the paper dogs became more and more like mechanical dogs that walked on their own until someone finally made a paper dog that can fly over the campus.

Cultural trends require innovation, and under the brewing of special social events, trends gradually grow up, often driving designers to make destructive innovations.
